Paediatrics and Neonatology

Pediatric Department of Indira Gandhi Co-operative Hospital is very famous in and around Thalassery, where the functioning of pediatric and Neonatal ICU commenced almost 22 years back, which made remarkable changes in the management of childhood emergency problem in north Malabar.

Department is well managed by our senior consultant and Medical Director Dr.K.P.A Siddeek with support of another senior consultant Dr.Philomina Sebastian.All the pediatric surgery cases are being managed by our senior pediatric surgeon Dr.Pramod J. Shenoy.

Department is having regular OP consultations and round O clock Pediatric emergency care service. Department consist of well equipped seven bedded Pediatric ICU with all modern facilities including ventilators .Well experienced and sincere staffs are the real asset of the unit.

Our neonatal ICU is having 10 beds with all modern facilities including CPAP and ventilator. All the neonatal problems are being managed successfully. We treat all sort of neonatal deseases of our own newborns and those referred from outside; here also experienced,sincere and care giving staffs are very obvious.

Department is ably supported by our senior Pediatric surgeon Dr.Pramod J. Shenoy, who deals all sort of neonatal surgical problems with great skill and sincerity. For Thalassery and nearby area, our Pediatric department is functioning as the final destination to all sort of deseases.
